The 5th annual Miles for Midwives 5K run/walk was held on October 6, 2007, in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. This fun fall event raised funds for our local ACNM chapter and for Friends of the Birth Center, celebrated Midwifery Week and raised public awareness about midwives and the great work that we do. Medals were awarded for different age groups, first midwife, and first jogging stroller! 250 registrants came out to join the fun, get some fresh air and exercise, see old friends and make new ones, enjoy refreshments, learn about local women’s health resources, and support midwifery. Thanks to everyone for all your support!!!
